ST. BLAISE

Feast of the Presentation of our Lord -Candlemas & St Blaise
Wednesday, February 2nd,is the Feast of the Presentation of the
Lord,(the4thJoyful Mystery of the Rosary), it is also Candlemas
Day, when candles will be blessed at the 9:30am Mass in Crookstown and Athy. Some of these candles will be used for the blessing
of throat on Thursday, the Feast of St Blaise.
There will be Mass at 9:30am on Thursday in Athy & Crookstown
on the Feast of St Blaise, followed by the blessing of throats. There
will also be Mass in Moone on Thursday night at 7pm, again,
followed by the Blessing of throats.
Please note that the blessing of
throats will be conducted at a
distance of approximately 2 meters
Blessed Candles will be available in the parish office
after Mass on Wednesday.
